Ad.ly - Interesting Twitter Money Maker- Compare to MyLikes

I just signed up for ad.ly (literally 5 minutes ago) so I have no results to report yet, but since it's FREE to participate I wanted to share it ASAP. ad.ly is another advertising program similar to MyLikes, where you tweet links for advertisers.

From what I've read on the ad.ly site I'll be paid a certain amount (.57) per tweet, not per click. I'm also assuming this figure is calculated based on the number of twitter followers I have as is the payment per click on my MyLikes posts. I filled out my profile by checking off 4 topics that interest me and now I'm waiting to see if any advertisers want to "hire" me to post their ads. This is what ad.ly says:
Ad.ly enables Twitter publishers to make money from the content they produce on Twitter by sending one tweet every day from advertisers that they approve. In order to ensure authenticity, every Ad.ly tweet is explicitly approved by the Twitter publisher.

So right now I have the potential to make .57 per day with one tweet. Doesn't sound like much but that equates to $17.10/month which I'm certainly not going to turn down! Plus there's also a referral rewards system that pays 12% of my referrals earnings too!

Sounds easy and fun! I'll post again when I have more info but if you'd like to jump on board and get started right now just click the button and dive right in! If you're already a member and have any helpful hints please comment below.

Update on MyLikes: This is really working out well for me. I qualifed for a paypal payment of $2.59 last week while I was having fun at the beach. I wasn't even thinking about my online ventures and it was a nice surprise to see the payment notice in my email when I got home. That's exactly how this whole make money online stuff is supposed to work, right? You put a little effort into it and you get paid while you're off doing something else. My pay per click at MyLikes is currently .21 cents and I've made .42 so far this week with another .84 pending. That's a total of $1.26. The minimum payout is $2.00 so I'm cautiously optimistic that I'll make payout again this Friday. I'm anxious to see how these 2 similar programs compare in the long run. Mylikes seems to have more earning potential per daily tweet but if I can refer a lot of active tweeters to ad.ly the 12% referral payments could add some nice passive income to my paypal account. Have you tried MyLikes yet? Tell me how it's going for you.

  2. Hi Kristen-Best of luck with MyLikes. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to help. So many writing blogs are on fire today because of the ehow news. I've gotten more traffic and comments than ever--I guess change breeds controversy and opinions that need to expressed.
